Blood Red Road (Dust Lands Series #1)

Blood Red Road (Dust Lands Series #1) -

There was really nothing I hated in this book apart from the fact that it ended too soon.Saba is such a relatable, flawed character, one who I loved from the very start. She hides her vulnerability behind a tough facade. She loves her brother Lugh, with a love only twins share, while neglecting her younger sister, Emmi, who she pretty much blames for everything wrong in her life.I got caught up in the whole adventure. I could feel her agitation with her sister constantly being there when that was the last thing she wanted. I was there when she fell into the wrong hands time and time again. And I was there when she was trying to deny she was falling in love. The other characters were unforgettable, from Pa to Ike, from Jack to Epona. And the King and the Pinches. I don't think I've ever read a book where I felt myself so drawn to all the characters. Each and every one of them was necessary for the next stage of the novel and I can't wait for the next in the series.Five stars easy.
