Existence (Existence Trilogy, #1)

Existence (Existence Trilogy, #1) - Abbi Glines If you're looking for a light and fun read, then this may be the book for you. This book wouldn't win awards for most complex plot or characters, but it possibly would win one for a light, romantic read. This book was filled to the brim with romance, with the added bonus of it having a paranormal cast of characters. I couldn't take this book at all seriously and that's what made it fun for me. Sometimes when I've been reading books that are long or intense, I need a book where I can just relax. This book was definitely it for me.The characters' names were a bit odd for me. I've seen some weird names in some of the books I've read, but I've never read one where one of the lead characters was named Dank. Doesn't that mean damp? Who would name their character after something that was wet? Abbi Glines did. I liked him - growls and all. It helped that I couldn't take him at all seriously. And Pagan, yeah, another weird name, but I liked her as well. Sometimes I like predictability in a character and she was very predictable. I've read so many other characters like her that it felt like I was meaning up with an old friend. And because I was looking for something that wasn't in slightest way profound, she ticked all the boxes for me.The plot was so cheesy that I couldn't help, but enjoy it and even though the writing wasn't the best, it was still done in a way that was entertaining. As you can tell, all in all, I liked it and I would recommend it to anyone who likes a light paranormal romance. Now for my rating:-3 out of 5 starsThis review can be found here :-http://magicalmanuscriptsandwritingthings.blogspot.co.nz/
